House Clearance
Complete Service
We recognise that in many cases, a house clearance is the home of a loved one, so provide a respectful, discreet service.
There are two ways to clear your property;
1 – Pay For Clearance
Most clearance companies will charge you to take everything away. They can then sell any items of value and send the rest to landfill.
2 – Auction
Alternatively you can have the contents valued for auction.
- We provide a discrete and sympathetic service.
- Items of value will got to auction and you’ll receive the proceeds (minus fees).
- Personal/valuable items you may have missed will be returned for your consideration.
- Items not of resale value, will be taken for recycling where possible.
Our approach minimises the worry and upset that can occur when faced with clearing a property of a loved one.
It also allows you to offset the cost of the clearance and returns a profit for items of value.
How it works...
Step 1 - Valuation
We’ll value, catalogue and photograph all the items in the property, ready for sale. We’ll notify you of any personal items.
Step 2 - Auction
An experienced auctioneer will host an online auction with the contents in-situ.
Step 3 - Collection & Delivery
We’ll liaise with all the buyers to organise collection and/or arrange delivery for items that are sold.
Step 4 - Clearance
We’ll dispose of all non-auction items or auction items that don’t sell, ensuring the property is cleared.
Step 5 - Completion
At the end of the process, the property will be empty and you’ll receive the proceeds of sale (minus fees).
Please note;
All prices are an estimate, sales prices will vary on the day, depending on who/how many people are bidding.
Your Questions Answered
How much will it cost?
In most cases, our customers earn money when clearing their property.
How soon can you empty my property?
The sooner you enquire, the faster we can get to you. Contact us today.
Typically we visit every property within 7 days.
How much money will I receieve?
The value of your items really is down to the bidders on the day. Two people bidding against each other for an item can significantly raise the price. Equally, some items you may expect to fetch a great price, might not attract a buyer.
Do I need to be present when you do the valuation?
No, it’s not vital. While we prefer to have the homeowner/executor present, we can do the valuation in your absence if required.
How soon will I receive my money?
From sale to payment typically takes 21 days. In best case scenarios, we can value and clear the property, complete the auction and finalise payment within 28 days.
Service Fees
Service fees will vary depending on your items
For example; if a property has large outbuildings, full of broken furniture that all needs to be disposed of, clearance fees will naturally be higher.
A property full of smaller items of greater value, will incur smaller fees, providing you, the seller, with greater profit.
